Crafting Memories!

A pretty awesome writer that I know recently compared writing to baking. She talked about how writing is like baking, you have to have the right ingredients, and patience to wait the right amount of time for your creation to bake or it won’t turn out right.

See her whole post on how writing is like baking.

The same pretty awesome writer also suggested that instead of making a whole separate blog for all of my crafting, I should just merge the crafting with the baking.

I brought up her post in the beginning because it really applies to a lot of things in life. Every memory that you make has to “bake” a while before it is any good. And you will also have those memories that just didn’t turn out right. These things just happen. Call it bad ingredients.

This new section of Baking Memories is all about crafting some new memories. I’m pleased to announce that in the coming weeks, this page will show some pretty simple crafting ideas.

Things that you can do on your own. Projects that are great to do with your kiddos. Even some possible collaboration projects with Banana Bluebird, a blog written by my awesome talented writer sister (in-law, but who’s keeping track of that.) Between the two of us we have 3 kids, 3 different ages, so you will get to see great kids crafts that are good for all ages.

As I discover great new organization ideas for around the house, I will share them here as well.

Also that wonderful pinning site- pinterest, it has some great  crafts on it as well. If you see a craft somewhere online, and there isn’t instructions on how to do it, post a picture here. I’ll post you a how- to as soon as I can.

This is a great new endeavor for Baking Memories, now a little crafting of those memories as well. I hope you all will join me as I start sharing how to craft memories with you.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting!
